My first career was in the Civil Service where I spent 13 years in the Ministry of Defence in a range of posts, becoming a computer programmer in the late 1980’s. I worked for Defence Intelligence in Central London and then spent 2 years with Southern Water before re-training to become a teacher.
I have been in the profession for nearly 20 years, after graduating with a 2:1 B.Ed (hons) in History and Behaviour Management from Reading University. I am currently based at the Eastbourne Teaching and Learning Centre where I teach Science 2 days a week as well as supporting a number of 1:1 students. I also work on the Learn Smart team teaching maths, English and Science.
